About Hoji Tea Room

New Redlands-grown specialty tea and boba shop with a focus on handcrafted scratch-made boba, and high quality teas -- best known for Hojicha.

Located at 721 Nevada St #406, Redlands, CA 92373, Hoji Tea Room operates as a tea house serving Redlands in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under bubble tea store, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Redlands. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in California are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. I LOVE Hoji!!! There are a couple of coffee and tea shops nearby / in the same plaza, but Hoji’s tea beverages are next level. My favorites are their hojicha with black sesame salted cream (contains dairy) and strawberry matcha latte (oat milk only). Their boba is nice, fresh, and soft tasting, so I’d highly recommend getting it if you’d like boba pearls!! The staff and service here is also super friendly. Overall, great experience every time I’ve been here.

There was actually a wait when I came here, but it was a good way. It was only 10 minutes, but the drink was made instantly and very good. I would agree that it is very sweet. However it is kind of balanced out and almost like a breakfast if you didn’t have breakfast yet, it’s very calorie high and sweet and tasty. The purée, the strawberry purée that they use clearly has bits of strawberry and it taste kind of like jam in a bit, but it also tastes very fresh so not very preserved like jam. It looks great as well, so yeah overall I would rate this a five out of five great pic for Matcha in the wherever this is I forgot… enjoy this slow mo I accidentally took

The boba is amazing 🙏💯✨ Big and soft and chewy, really gives the most to the name "Bubble Tea" ! The matcha and oat milk were good quality, it wasn't too sweet, very refreshing and yumm 👌 And a decently good amount of boba in the drink, which again is incredible, low-key in a higher tier than the regular lill black boba that's most other places 🤧🤧🤧

This is a true gem in Redlands! This kind of shop you would usually find in Los Angeles or even Orange County. The people here are very fortunate to have this tea shop here. I ordered their Miyazaki Hojicha which was excellent and I ordered this hot and I’m sure it would also be amazing as a cold drink too. The second drink I had was their Black Sesame Sea Cream. Oh my goodness! This was another winner and a tasty score in my tastebuds book of flavors. I saw a bunch of other intriguing flavors I must try for my next visit and that’s for sure. They have a small outdoor seating area as well as the inside. The shop is super cute with a lot of eye pleasing knick knacks for you to see. The service was good and I seriously recommend this place if you’re looking for a legitimate tea spot that has Hojicha so definitely check it out.

Hoji Tea Room is the cutest little tea shop! The drinks here are catered to those with more of an acquired taste. The flavors are unique and definitely lean into the tea aspect of typical boba drinks. This place is also cute for pictures as well! The walls are decorated with art and they have a setup of old media like a vintage tv and cameras. They have a large full-sized mirror for little outfit pictures and the vibes are just so nice inside. They also sell pastries but I didn’t get to try them. I would come again for the vibes and a drink made from scratch!
